What's ADULTish?
The Quarter Life Crisis is real. Approaching 30 (and not having your shit quite figured out yet), Cell phones, Internet Dating and global financial recessions have made being an "adult" way harder than it needs to be. Plus The '90s are over; Belle fell for her Beast, Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy have exited the sound booth from Batman and the Justice League and Rita Repulsa has been defeated by a bunch of teenagers with attitude....wait(checks Facebook feed) they're all getting reboots?! So, the 90's are really only over(ish)
In a lot of ways, "Adultish" is a product of that '90s nostalgia, and the subconscious comfort we take in remembering what it was like to just be a kid. Set amongst a modern day, NYC backdrop, the series follows comic book loving friends Bevin, Handsome Eric, Michael and their roommate (named Roommate...it's Danish).
In ADULTish Season 3(aka Volume 3 for the avid comic book reader) Bevin, a young(ish) blogger has just had a blog go viral and she finds herself working in a think-tank of trendsetting urbanites. Soon after she lands herself a new boyfriend who likes comics, donating to hungry children and giving her keys to his apartment WAY too soon. Michael has just started an internship with his favorite comic podcast and actually isn't fucking it up ."Handsome" Eric has decided to reinvent himself and his café and 'Roommate' is just...well, Roommate. This season they all are one step closer to transitioning themselves into adulthood without having to sacrifice too much of their love for all things Nostalgia and Childish....especially Batman
